Kosi Bay – Bhanga Nek

Night 2 at Camp 4

We have an early start so a light breakfast snack of rusks, fruit, tea & coffee will be in your rooms.
Head to the mouth and cross over.
You are welcome to swim across or the local ferry man will help you. Jabulani and December will also be there to give you a helping hand.
On your arrival at Bhanga Nek our friendly staff will be there to meet you where you will be given a light snack and something to drink for the drive back to Camp 4, (+/- 45mins).
Take your time to settle in and get your bearings.
A briefing will be held at 6:00pm. Dinner at around 7:00pm.

Bhanga Nek – Black Rock

Night 3 at Camp 4

A light breakfast of rusks, fruit salad, yogurt and cereal will be served in the dining area.
Make your own way there when you are ready to help yourself.
A 45min drive back to Bhanga Nek is where you will start your walk for the day.
At +/- 12kms in there is a beautiful spot called Dog Point. For those of you who would like to finish their walk, we will be there to collect you and take you around to Black rock to join the rest of the party.
Lunch on the beach at Black Rock will be the order of the day.
Sit back with your toes in the sand, enjoy the views, delicious lunch and a cold refreshments.
A 30 min drive back to Camp when you are ready.

Zululand Beach Walks is a walking experience along the Zululand Coastline, led by a group of enthusiastic, passionate and experienced guides. Our walking trails and guided tours started in January 2018, following a global increased interest in Health, Fitness, Ocean Awareness and the prohibition of vehicles on the beach – making certain areas inaccessible to the public except on foot. We embrace the idea to “Give stories, not Stuff”.

You will be accompanied by experienced guides for the duration of the walk. Our behind-the-scenes support staff are kept busy transporting luggage to the next overnight stop, arranging permits, food and drinks and basically ensuring that everything runs smoothly for the duration of your walk.

We promise to unlock many of the well-kept secrets along the Zululand Coastline, and will do everything to ensure that your walk is a truly rewarding experience.

About Camp 4

Camp 4 is a privately owned camp, which has been in operation for over 15 years. Operating mostly off grid on solar and low voltage battery power. Two donkey boilers service the bathrooms and three friendly and helpful staff assist in camp. This simple camp offers a chance to enjoy the African sounds, stunning sunsets and a chance to enjoy the basics of life. No frills and fuss, but comfortable and clean.
